For the past 5 days, Ama has turned into a serious nocturnal human being. She is restless around 7pm, but won't sleep.
We have a usual nighttime ritual which should go like this:
Sleep until 8. Wake up, feed, fart, poo, hang out for one hour or so.
In between all of this I'm fighting Maya and making her go to sleep.
Back to Ama....
For 1-2 hours we essential mess with her to try and keep her up and change her body schedule and trick her into sleeping more at night. Around 945ish, bath time, massage, warm bottle, bam! Lights out. That's the ideal night. In fact That's the dream night.
Instead it goes like this:
Starting at 7 she arises from the dawn of the dead and begins her fight against sleep. And when I mean fights her sleep, I mean she's in the ring with Mike Tyson. From 7 pm until bath time, she's taking small cat naps. I'd call them super baby power naps because she wakes up stronger. With more steam, and more energy to beat me up.
945ish arrives after an hour and a half of "Maya go to sleep. Maya it's bedtime. No Maya you can't have a yogurt. No Maya you can't drink more water. Did I not tell you to get in bed? Maya if you don't get in that bed imma beat the hell out of you..."
and we begin our bath, massage, warm bottle ritual. Instead of her going to sleep for a million hours, she naps for one strong hour and BAM! She tricks me and wakes up crying. So I reswaddle, snuggle her, rock her back to sleep and she goes into a peaceful slumber. Or so I think. As soon as I put her down, eyes wide open like a creeper. Eyes wide open leads to "nyah nyah nyah, grunt grunt grunt, screaaammmmmm."
So essentially I'm breaking my back to get her to sleep but instead she's become nocturnal and cat naps until about 2 am. If you can even call them naps. And I'm a dummy and doze off when she pretends to sleep and wake up like an alarm went off when I hear her scream.
